When Magid decided to install solar on their building in Romeoville, Illinois, they turned to Continental. Our reputation as a turnkey commercial solar installer with expert experience in epc preceded us. The project began by vacuuming 7 million pounds of river rock off the existing 600,000 s.f. roof and completely replacing it with a membrane roof.
No other solar contractor has as much experience with solar in Illinois as CES. We are not just a solar panel installer. For Magid, our expert engineers custom designed a 3.46MW solar array to maximize the benefits of renewable energy. The largest rooftop solar project in the Midwest at the time.
CES designed a solar system that focused on electricity costs, clean energy, and a return on investment. Reliability in the face of utility outages provides energy independence and protects the bottom line. The CES team proposed a cutting-edge solar storage and microgrid solution. It consists of (2)-1MW/2MWh Energy Storage Systems to couple with the solar array.
Magid was excited for what it could do for their operations. CES installed an energy storage system. It generates revenue for Magid in the ComEd Wholesale energy market. In addition, the solar microgrid provides hours of plant operating power when the grid goes down.
