Solar Project Finance with Harry Benson of Standard Solar

Join us Nov. 19th for a conversation with Harry Benson of Standard Solar as we break down C&I (commercial industrial) and community solar finance in the Midwest. Registration is free, space is limited – register today!

We will  discuss the importance of finding the right finance partner for your solar project whether you’re the developer, EPC/contractor or project host/beneficiary. Our goal is to help guide developers, installers, EPCs, utilities, municipalities, educational institutions, communities and landowners as they work through solar financing as it relates to  development and engineering,  procurement, construction and long term operation & maintenance (O&M).

Who should attend: solar developers, installers, EPCs, utilities, municipalities, educational institutions, regulatory agencies, communities and landowners

Project developers and other stakeholders invest much time and money into getting projects through the stages of development including site control, utility interconnection, incentive awards (like SRECs), and offtake agreements (PPAs).

We will discuss key considerations for successful funding and acquisition in the Midwest market, including Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana. Standard Solar is currently developing a pipeline of assets in fourteen states. Some project profiles we will discuss:

  • Rooftop and community solar
  • Municipal and other public entities
  • Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
  • Co Development Agreements

Join us to answer some key questions:

1. What are the stages of project development when finance partners will engage?

2. How can contractors and developers improve the success rate of acquisition for their projects and portfolios?

3. How to plan for profitable and durable projects that will stand the test of time?
