Background
A group of Illinois solar industry professional, solar developers, landscape architects, engineers, and consultants launched the Illinois Pollinator & Wildlife Friendly Solar Farm Working Group in March of 2019. We meet every other month mostly by conference/video call and sometimes in-person. The emphasis is to share mutually beneficial best practices, review the pollinator checklist, and discuss best practices to make solar farms as environmentally friendly as possible. We welcome additional participants.
